Join me tonight live on Bandcamp and listen to the new live album I am dropping. I have never done this before and am excited by this new technology. 7pm CDT
I have been playing live show to backing tracks, very 2025. The other musicians are spread around the globe, so this was the only way to bring these songs to a live setting.
I randomly was sent these tracks by the club in December that were recorded through the board. I also included a studio recorded song called “Five Dollars” that features the first Slide guitar song I have ever recorded. I was taking classes at Old town school of folk music and was learning slide guitar and building cigar box guitars. This song actually features one of the guitars I made!
The songs are a mix of songs new and old, a couple from soundtracks to Indie films and Documentaries I wrote and directed. So the music is really tied into my fieldwork. I screened an experimental film as I played, so it was a multimedia experience.
